How much is an "unknown Manufacturer" and "unknown Model" going to delay my application?

There is no on-line Form 20 (affidavit of citizenship). Do I print out scan and upload it?

Mike

I just did my first Form 1 through eforms. I got the error message about the manufacturer and model number not matching, but the way I figure it, it's no worse than a paper form.

I also skipped the citizenship form. If they need it, they'll tell me.

Admittedly, it's a bit of an experiment for me. I don't see how it can be any slower, really.

I heard back from the ATF by email. Was told to use "COLT" and not the exact Colt contractor or holding company on the rollstamp. Was told form 20 (citizenship) was not needed for trust (a change!).

I selected "7.62" from the CALIBER pull down for my planned 300 BLK build (7.62x35) but noticed "MULTI" was on the list (although there have been past rejections for MULTI). There was a seperate item for COMBO, so MULTI does not mean COMBO here.

Of course the proposed changes will nuke their nice new eForm system.

Anyone got a link for the new eforms?

I might want to get in another while the getting is good!

Anyone got a link ... I'll find one more receiver to SBR to try it out ...

... or do you have to be an FFL to do it?

Here is a link that works:

https://www.atfonline.gov/

Click on eForms.

Says only works with Apple Safari or IE8 browsers :(

Notice to eForms Users: ATF recommends the use of Internet Explorer 8 or Safari OS X (10.7.5) as your browser. The use of other browsers, such as Internet Explorer 9, Google Chrome, or Mozilla Firefox, may present problems for registration and submission. ATF is working to resolve these issues and will provide updates regarding resolution to the users.

I don't have a Mac and Microsoft snuck in IE9 disguised as a security update on my last Windows system.

I couldn't find it because I was looking on the atf.gov site where the pdf of the paper forms are :(

I just filled out another with Firefox after failing to get the site to work with IE 8.

My employer has the active content locked down pretty solid on IE since that is our primary internal browser and that is probably the issue.

Finally got around to trying.

Registration went smoothly using Firefox, but when filling out the form I got "Server Lost Connection" popup when I pressed "next" for "step 2" :(

I'm at home no web filters, I'll try again in case it was just bad luck with the DHCP lease expiring in the middle of it.

Trying again it seems eForms itself went down :(

eForms Outage

We are sorry but eForms is down to resolve some issues relating to the submission of forms. As soon as we can resolve the issues, eForms will be available again. We appreciate your patience and apologize for any inconvenience.

eForms site is back up. I filled out the boxes and submitted my from and uploaded a copy of my trust. Seemed to work as I got email confirmation of payment and submission.

There was some ambiguity, Under "description" I put the trust name and city state as engraved on the receiver as I assumed this corresponded to box 4h. The drop down boxes had MULTI for caliber and I chose it as that is was was engraved by the maker. I have had paper forms with multi in box 4c accepted and returned for only a single caliber, not clear what will happen here, although it only wasted a week fixing the paper rejects. I uploaded my trust pdf twice as there were two places for documentaion upload.

Will they want my most current "Schedule A"? The trust original has the initial schedule with my first ones listed, for the latter ones I've copied the updated Schedule A with newer additions and attached it to the trust paper copy, If they need it I could scan it and upload the jpeg, should I do it now or is it not required?

They want your legally current Schedule A at the time of the application. There has been some chatter about using a fictional Schedule A that lists NFA firearms but not Title I Firearms (because that is none of their damn business) at the time of the application but that is technically fraud. Better off two put the Title Is on an otherwise identical trust with a slight name change :)

The eForms system is down around noon every day, according to the ATF's e-mails. That's probably why you had an issue, wally.

Also, your note about there being two places to upload the trust is true. But you only needed to upload in the second section, as it turns out. The first section is the "firearm specific" upload area. The second section is the "form specific" upload area. The ATF, in their eForms newsletter, says to only upload in the form specific area. I don't believe it causes problems to have uploaded in both places, though.

I'll scan it and try to upload it. Any guidance as to where to find an "edit" or "append" function, or is there a "folder" associated with my login where all the documents end up?

It looks to be very much easier the second time you do it, as I didn't find much in the way of documentation as to how to use the site initially.
