Okay, this is it. I talked to big John face to face today in houston. He is not out of eley m2 ammo, never was, but he has been selling it at such a blistering pace, that he took it off his site for a week, so he could sell it at the shows, he did not have enough to fill a huge amount of orders he still has.
He just spoke with the Eley guys from England, here in Texas. Eley m2 ammo isn't going anywhere, it is still being made, and there are currently about 30,000,000 rounds of eley m2 ammo going from England, to all points east and west. ammunitiontogo.com will be fully eley restocked in 2 weeks, his order is allready in. He said if you wanna pre order, just call and tell his receptionist, or email them, and they will set aside what you want, when his shipment arrives. Again, if you tell them you are a member of RFC, you will still get the fabulous deal we get. Also , when it comes to shipping, his farthest charges are to Washington State, or to Delaware/Maine/New Hamp. , up to the east. 1 case will cost you 12 bucks, but if you buy two, because he can roll the two cases together, and not much weight is added to the one package, two cases will cost you only 15 bucks, basically halving your shipping cost!!!schwing.
now then, for the 17 aguila, he does not normally carry it, but he says he will get it. He has no idea what the cost is, he is figuring between 25 and 35 bucks a brick, which is just fine, really. So what he said to do was this; if you want some 17aguila, call and or email his office just as before, tell him how many bricks, or cases , you are interested in getting, no individual boxes. He is going to San antone to meet the mexican mfgrs, on Oct 12. He will then find out how much the 17 aggies will cost him.
when he does find out, he will call back to his office, and tell the receptionist, and his site dudes, how much the 17 aggies will be. They will then call or email you back, with what the price is going to be, at that time, you can either order it, or not, it is up to you. But let him know before, say , Oct the 10th, so he has a rough idea about how much 17 aggie ammo he might need to pick up/buy; and therefore get the lowest price that he can negotiate.
There!!!! I hope this answers all your questions about mach 2 ammo, is it still going to be made, is eley still making it, will there still be rifles for it, etc., etc.... sounds like full speed ahead to me, and again, this was straight from the horses' mouth.
I just thought of something, it looks like there is two diff types of 17 aggie; one is a fmj bullet, the other is a hollow point, so assuming they are still mfgrg both, you better ask for which one you prefer, or get a brick of each.
