 What was the minimum Keith held for BIG game, Elk and so on. .33 cal., 250 grains, ?. Was it 2200 FPS?

Me and a friend are "discussing" this. He say 2500. I say 2200. A walk to the store depends on this. ;)

Can't say for sure but probably 2200 FPS as the powders available back then(1940's) would be hard to get a 250 grain bullet to 2500 FPS in the .333 OKH. To this day it is hard to get a 250 grain bullet to 2500 FPS from 22" barrel in a 338-06.

Better consult Mr. Keith's book, "Hell, I Was There".
