I recently inherited a mint CQC-7 from 2000 with all original paperwork/boxing. Just curious if my fellow THRers thought I should rotate it into my EDC collection or leave it in a safe...

Ebay's telling me they're $90's-100ish.

I've got plenty of great EDC knives available, so that's not an issue, I'm just not sure if I should baby her or treat her mean...

Thanks!

I have a CQC7 from 1998 and a Super COC7 with the Wave that I bought just prior to my current deployment. I love the knives and will continue to use both as carry knives. I don't abuse either - they are cutting tools.

The CQC 7 is a great knife design that has had a pretty significant impact on a lot of today's tactical folder designs. They are classics.

Guess the ball is really in your court:

1. If you inherited it and it has sentimental value, then what it is worth is not an issue, you won't be selling it. Carry it and enjoy it, remember where you got it.

2. If you plan on selling it, I would keep it mint.
