Congrats.. great gun
...
gg, bought one for the wife, and myself, some time back, and we shoot nothing but Winchester wb 115gr FMJ and Federal 115gr JHP's without any failures thru 1000 rounds so far.. just 100%
About the low shots, generally ammo at such close range isn't going effect point of aim hits..
With our gun, close out to 16ft, we dot the i (or cross the T) just above the top front sight, and at distance, 63ft, its put the front site on the target, and it's very very accurate..
No CT's on the EMP, but do have them on my Sig P229 9mm..
IMO, they are a great asset for point to shoot, with both eyes open, lase and blaze, and are deadly accurate shooting with both eyes open for far better all around SA..
They are very hard at first, because you will sight with one eye and chase the red dot.. But that is normal until you find them accurate, either as they are set, or you can adjust them..
Once you get beyond chasing the red dot, sighting them in for accuracy, and letting them humble your 2 hand grip steadiness, happens to everyone, then all you need do is raise the gun to just below the height you would eye sight from, head straight up, 2 hand grip, and learn not to jerk the shot, trying to hit the dot when it's dead on, but rather, when its close, or dead on, squeeze off each shot, and you'll learn how effective they are and see this..
over and over..
Just start close, and work each distance-phase, step by step out with accuracy..
Enjoy

Ps.. also, if you're shooting your own reloads and shooting nothing but least expensive lead bullets, you may well have a lead build-up in the barrel.. could be the problem, as it doesn't take long for build-up to occur and bad results to happen.
And, I wouldn't let the fact that others have shot your gun with the same low results be the acid test at this time, as I have let a LOT of competent, and beginners, shoot ours, and have had mixed results, as both sides of the coin, competent and inexperienced, have shot very poorly, and very good, as it is a new or "different" gun to all and some get the hang of them real fast, others not the case, but "I" know the gun is deadly accurate, up close, or out to max range at our indoor range, of 63ft.
