Encore .300 WM singe shot rifle

Saw one at a pawn shop. $700 or so used but in excellent shape.

24 or 26 inch fluted stainless barrel. Polymer stock with Nikon 2.5x10x40 scope.

.300 WM is a serious round and I bet it kicks but...

How good do they shoot? How long do they last?

700 is just meh(depends on scope, prostaff vs. monarch), I bought an encore with two stock sets (one folding stock), and it had 4 barrels(308,450 marlin, 300 win mag, and 209x50) all for 850.I saw an 308 with open sites for 450 or 500, let me know if you want the gun shops name. The 300 win mag is a great caliber and encore lasts forever(lots of parts for sale).

Punishing in sinthetic stock. Bought a sorb ethane butt plate that helps but still blow back. I'm 6'2" ,300lbs and it throws me more than my 10 gage or the 50 cal black powder barrel that fits it. Beware recoil is extreme!
