The majority of cops ARE good guys/gals
The first time I got pulled over after I got my CHL, the Deputy's response when I handed her my DL and CHL was; "COOL!" A few years back I got pulled over by a small town cop and advised him that I had a firearm in the seat-back pocket on the passenger's seat. He went around and pulled out my Colt 1911 with the black, laminated wood, finger position grips and immediatly said; "WOW! Where'd you get these grips?" A friend of mine was broken down on the side of the road when an NMSP Officer stopped to see if he was OK. My friend was open carrying a 1911. The cop was not phased in the least and turned out to be a real "gun person". They talked guns while waiting for a tow truck, and the Officer even showed my friend his full-auto Uzi SMG.
