Was looking at one a friend has(which I'd like to buy), but it has one problem. With all but one brand of ammo, the extractor will not pull out the fired cartridge. It goes bang just fine, accuracy is quite good, but it will not extract. Cycle it by hand, does it no problem.

It will reliably extract & eject Federal Champion, but that doesn't have quite enough 'oomph' to cycle the action fully to pick up the next cartridge.

I'm thinking possibly the angle of the extractor hook is a bit off, but I'd like to see if anyone has any hard information before we mess with it.

I'd check for a firing pin ding in the edge of the chamber from dry firing.
Or a rough chamber.

If it extracts with low power ammo it won't cycle, and it extracts everything before it is shot, something is hanging up the hotter ammo due to more case expansion.

Erma .22 Lugers were not noted for long-term reliability.
Pot metal frame & folded sheet metal parts.

Some of them worked great right out of the box, and some of them made several trips back to the importer, and still didn't work right.
Even Erma and Stoger had problems getting them to work sometimes.
