Extractor too long in Springfield Loaded

I have a Springfield Armory "Loaded" full size, oh, about four years old or so, maybe three thousand rounds. I have a problem with the tip of the extractor hitting the forward angle of the case extractor groove. I have tried a new Wilson, Brown, and Springfield extractor and all of them hit. Tuner says: "Make sure that the front of the hook isn't touching the forward angle of the case extractor groove when the case is flat against the breechface, and that the tip of the hook isn't bottoming out in the extractor groove."

I researched the issue a lot here and all the threads say to file the tip of the extractor if it is a bit too long. I have filed down the tips to the degree that I was concerned about there being enough metal left for reliability and still it hits. I can't seem to make this problem go away at all.

The gun does run reliably though. I use old GI mags per Tuners suggestion and have never had a feeding or extraction problem. It's just I can tell that the extractor is hitting pretty hard on the case. It leaves quite a gouge mark. I'm concerned that all that beating will eventually cause the extractor to just break.

Is my slide out of spec maybe? Should I trash the pistol and go buy a new one?

I'll be home in a couple months and really want to clear this up.

My loaded is the same. Best I can measure it is all within blueprint specs. The only short extractor is the EGW with the fat rear section. Not available in stainless.
I just plan to shoot it till it breaks and let Springfield fix it. Lifetime warranty and all.

Golfwarrant, First off, thanks so much for your service! The clearance between breech face and inside of the hook, optimally is .075" a little more .080" is okay, but any more and the clearance between the tip and the case bevel becomes more of a problem. To maintain as much strength in the tip file the tip at the same angle as the bevel. Extractors are not all the same and finding that perfect one isn't easy. I've successfully moved them back by Tig welding a shim in the groove of the extractor that the firing pin stop fits into and filing it forward moving it back the thickness of the shim.
