I did for the first time today. I don't make it a point to get attatched to guns but the ones in my current collection are "keepers" and won't go anywhere. I sold and traded away a few guns with no real second thoughts.
About a 6 months ago I sold my keltec pf9. It was nothing special, but I didn't realize how spoiled it had made me. If I'm making a quick run to the store and didn't want to fool with holstering up or getting my shoulder rig or what ever, I could just grab it and throw it in my pocket. Or if I'm out jogging the gun was light as a feather. It also served as a perfect back up to the flavor of the week glock or xd I was carrying.
Lastly if my wife didn't want to carry on a certain day we were together, I used it as a pass off gun incase something were to go bad.
So today I went to the local gun shop to pick up some cleaner and I saw a tan on tan with black controls for 289 nib, I had to have. I must say that I'm glad I have one back in the safe, real convienant little pistol to have around. No malufunctions in its first two hundred rounds.
Any of you guys took the plunge twice?

Yes. A rossi 38 special m851 that served me well during my college years. Nice one with wood grips. I traded it in for a smith model 65 and had sellers remorse. Sucha good gun so when I saw another one for a steal of a price, I hopped on it!

I seem to have a thing for old Remington 870 Wingmaster Magnums.

I always end up picking them up regardless of condition. I have three currently.

I haven't but I would. I love my glock 30 and I would buy another if I had enough money to avoid the draw of new and different. I have shot the gen 4 19 extensively and if given a crate of 10 I would keep everyone of them.

I know what you mean about the Kel tec though, I have a P11 with the slide clip. I love my glock and she goes just about everywhere with me but the lightweight and convenience of throwing the Kel tec in my pocket or clipped to my waistband is awesome.

Correction had three, I gave the 16 gauge to my dad for his new hobby of busting clays. So I have 2 in 12 gauge currently.

I traded with a buddy a while back and got back a Sweedish Mauser that I owned before and get this, I bought it from him the first time. We have both owned it twice. Sometimes when I trade with buddies it is with the understanding that if they ever want to sell it I get first refusal. For example I traded a guy an M1A last Spring and part of the deal is that if he ever wants to sell it he calls me first.

I've owned a Beretta Model 84 a couple of times.

The first one I owned, in black, I sold with the rest of my guns when I moved to another state. When I started buying guns again, I couldn't resist a nickel-plated 84FS. I just love the look of that gun, and it's fun to shoot, too. It's not the best for CCW, being enormous as .380s go; if I want to carry something that size, I can carry something more potent. But I just really like that gun.

I'm sure I'd buy it a third time.

Twice:
Ruger 10/22 Allweather - Used my 1st one as a down payment on a truck. New one has better finish and has never jammed.

Mosin Nagant - Loved my m44 so much I bought a m91/30 so I could "upgrade" it. The stock is "bubba'd" now and wish I would have left it alone.

Exact same gun actually. Last year I purchased a Webley revolver on auction arms from a local shop. When I received it, it would lock up on every other trigger pull. The shop graciously took it back and refunded my money. They said it was nothing more than a parts piece at that point. About a month later I noticed the same gun back on auction. Contacted the shop and they told me they had it repaired and thus relisted it back on auction. Won the auction again, this time for $25 dollars less :). Turned out to be a great shooter.

I bought three Star BM, one to shoot, worst one for spare parts, the best to "collect". But they were cheap -- $140-170.

I have an affinity for the S&W mod 10 especially in 3". I buy them when I can afford it. Some how they always manage to find new homes with friends of a gentler persuassion.

I find its easiest when I just wear my gun around home.

OP, I also purchase a Pf9 before and sold it just recently. Unfortunately I wont buy that pistol again as it was unreliable to my standards. Your experience may differ, so if you got a Pf9 that works for you then that is great.

My very first pistol I ever bought was a Smith and Wesson M&P9. Sold that a few months ago and purchased a M&P40. So yes, I could almost say I bought the same pistol but just in a different caliber. the only difference between the 2 is the caliber; otherwise they were the same exact gun.

I plan to. I want a second Glock 26 and a second Glock 19. I also might buy another Glock 20 someday. I sold mine a couple years ago.

Back before I had a ccw I picked up an of green glock 32

I shot it for awhile but not needing a CC gun sold or traded it off for? ?

Well just recently after becoming a chl licencee and determining that my 7shot pf9 wasn't up to snuff I went out glock shopping with the intention of buying a g19. But instead a cheap vg condition g32 w aftermarket truglo sights came home with me

Way back when, I sold a savage 99. What a dope. Many years later , I found another one. Jumped on it like a "bum at a free lunch. " :)

Several 10/22s, in various configurations

Two S&W Model 14s, one in 6" and one in 8 3/8", just because they are such nice guns and revolvers were out of fashion (i.e. cheap) when I bought them.

I have two identical JC Higgins Model 50s (FN commercial Mauser action, chrome lined High Standard barrel), both in 30-06 because I liked the first one so much I couldn't pass up a screaming deal on a second. One's sighted in for 150 grain deer loads, the other for 180 grain elk loads.

I've always wanted a Savage 24 in 22 Magnum / 20 ga. Finally found one, a fixer-upper for a good price. Fixed it up and was happy with it. I did a full inventory three years ago and found not one, but two other 22 Mag/20 ga 24s that I had bought 16 and 8 years prior.

That precipitated a major thinning of the herd.

Not yet, but I plan on it....

......almost two years ago I bought at my LGS a really nice S&W model 29-2...blue...8 3/8th" barrel. I want another exactly like it. Cannot explain why....I just do.

(Gun show coming up on the 22nd!:) Maybe I'll get lucky!)

My Father had a really odd one.
About 30 years ago he was visiting a friend of his in southern California. They had been talking on the phone about old firearms and Dad mentioned he had a new Walker Colt re-issue. This is a very long, very heavy ball and cap revolver.
He took it on the trip with him and his friend took him to the LAPD pistol range. His friend, (now long retired) was an officer with the LAPD.

He said they shot half a dozen cylinders full and his friend really liked it, so Dad gave it to him. Fast forward to 7 years ago and down in Missoula Montana at the annual fall gun show. He saw and older Walker Colt re-issue for $45.00 and he bought it.

Six months later he was updating the insurance on the armoury and added the serial number and discovered......... yep. That was the one. 23 years later it had made it's way from California to Missoula Montana, just 120 miles away from here where it started.
