Ever bubba'd a firearm?

That's why I chose it, plus if I managed to ruin it somehow it's not like I trashed anything I couldn't go to most any gun store and replace on any given day from stock.

I fired a round right behind a Squib and it ended up costing me $165 to replace the barrel.
If that's not Bubba'd I don't know what would be.
Never shoot a round behind a squib.
If it would have been just a squib, a brass rod would have pushed it out. NO..... I had to blow out the barrel. - DUH!!

B yond-- how do you prevent ejected brass from impacting the scope?

The rail I used was designed to be mounted on Mosins in this location. It has a relief on the right side to allow brass (or lacquered steel in this case) to eject.

I'm no expert, but doesn't the grip on Jordan's pic above look photoshopped? Regardless, if I knew somebody who'd done that I'd want to shoot it.

Yeah DeadLiver, it does look photoshopped, everything is kinda blurry and the grip top edge looks very defined. If it was real though, wouldn't that be illegal? Converting a rifle to a pistol?

The above photo looks slightly off, I agree. Regardless, here's a video of one being fired. The same user also has a video of it being fired at night.

B yond-- can you reveal the name of the manufacture.....still in business?

Stock, scope rail, and bolt handle were from ATI.

The stock and rail were fine, the bolt handle was supposed to be secured with a single bolt, which I don't think would've held had I been able to tap the hole without breaking my tap off in it. Once welded in place it worked fine. I wouldn't recommend the bolt handle kit unless you plan on welding it on.

I drilled and tapped some holes in a nice Springfield 1911 where 1911's don't have tapped holes. Prolly ruined the resale value but it is not for sale anyway. It is one of my clean guns. No paper trail.

Milled the back of the receiver down, drilled/tapped hole for HK rear sight.

Chopped barrel off with hacksaw, chucked in lathe and crowned it. While I was at it, I turned down the barrel to slip fit the new front sight which was made of an SKS bayonet latch. I drilled/tapped a hole, sharpenened a screw in a lathe and threadlocked it to make the post. Wood is chopped down too of course. Original rear sight is removed.

I bent down the bolt handle for whatever reason.. just for looks but I think I do like the feel of it better bent down.

Bore looks sort of like the inside of a sewer pipe, but its fun to shoot.

It might be legal if the receiver in question was made before 1898 and thus considered an antique, which is a distinct possibility with a Mosin-Nagant (though most likely not one with a round receiver).

Edit: just followed the link to the video, some of the comments discussed the NFA legalese.

I have not bubba'd a gun, but have known of some.

One guy welded a riding mower's muffler to the end of his shotgun barrel. It muffled the report as you'd expect.
