Ever hear this at a gun store?

Tabing, reminds me of one Bedlamite and I ran into...

We're pretty much done for the day, when a father and son (maybe 8?) show up, dad planning on sighting in his rifle (I want to say .300 WinMag). Boy isn't wearing ears. Bedlamite offers, since we both carry spares: dad declines, "he's not shooting, so he don't need 'em"...

Son was standing maybe three feet from dad when the old man touched off the first round: junior starts screaming, holding his ears. Dad ended up packing out at that point...

A guy brought a Winchester pump .22 rifle he had just
inherited to a gun store while I was browsing. He told
the dealer he had no interest in guns or shooting. He
could use the money and someone else would probably
enjoy the gun more than he would. The dealer gave him
a fair price and he left. The dealer THEN started to
inspect the gun by pumping it open. Out flew a .22 WRF!
There were twelve rounds in the gun: one in the chamber
and eleven in the magazine.

This sort of thing is quite common. Gun owers should really think about who will get their guns when they croak. I'll bet that most gunowners folks know little or nothing about guns.
