I'm one of those 2 knife weirdo's I suppose. I voted Gerber, I have one of the medium size paraframe's from walmart. Partially serrated blade. Used to use it all the time for actual work but I'd end up dulling it on something or breaking the tip off like I did trying to get the bottom off a grease gun mag. I finally got it back decently sharp and carry it in my pocket mainly if I need to cut up my lunch at work or something because they are too cheap to provide anything more than sporks.

For opening boxes and whatever else I carry one of those folding utility knifes (think its a kobalt from lowes). Its one of the older slim models that doesn't have any spot for extra blades. I had one of the ones that had blade storage and all but it seemed too thick and bulky to me.

I haven't honestly found a multi tool that felt like it wasn't cheap and gimicky in my hand using its different functions unless it was somewhere north of $70 in the price range.

Spyderco Military, since ESEE and Buck aren't on the list. I carry my old Buck 110 more than anything else I own.

I would have to vote none of the above. For a tactical I prefer either my Mcusta or AG Russell, this is a never use knife, carried strictly for emergencies. For daily cutting chores I carry traditionals in the other pocket.

Benchmade Minigriptillian with a smooth blade for the last couple years.

It seems to fill any knife need I have and holds a great edge. I use it several times a day and the axis lock hasn't even begun to get loose. I thought I lost it this week and immediately started shopping for another until I found it laying in the sand right next to my motorcycle the next morning.

I felt kinda naked without it and if I do lose it I won't be without one for long.

I picked Spyderco, and in fact really did carry my Kiwi in my pocket today.

On the weekend, I almost uniformly carry either my Endura or a Persistence that was a special gift. During the week, I rotate around a bunch of knives, but increasingly, 90% of the time it is a mini-trapper of some sort or my kiwi.

Lots of reasons for this, but at the end of the day, I just have really come to prefer a traditional knife for my office job, and honestly, I like finding cool ones to buy.

Even weirder, over the last couple of months it almost always boils down to one of two knives: Spyderco Kiwi and a Kissing Crane modified mini-trapper. I have a couple Cases, but for whatever reason, those two have become my hands down favorites to carry.

Victorinox is my favorite, shame its not on the list.

They are my favorite knives, and I think they give you the biggest bang for your buck.

I also like, Case (in cv), and Spyderco.

Right now got 2 Spydercos and a Boker on me.
Police in right cargo pocket. Delica in left front pocket. Boker Urban Defender under the holster my Taurus 651 rides in.

Spydercos as of late

Mix and match. Right now its a spyderco stretch and manix two with a bill moran upswept on my hip. but, I have a TON of knives to choose from

Benchmade
Kershaw
Buck
Case
Lone Wolf
Cold Steel
SOG
etc etc etc....pictures scatterd about here in diff. threads.

Gerber G06 auto, with the heavier handles. Its a little over 3in in blade length, some of the toughest steel around, takes a while to go dull(down side is it takes forever to get sharp again) its heavy, just feels like a solid knife. Only knife I've carried, daily for past 4 yrs.

Used to have some heavy torque w/ good sound when I opened it, now, a spring broke so I just hold the button and flick my wrist, either way, it's a cool action, a little stronger than Benchmades so I trust it as my work knife aswell. Plan to buy another if I can find it, only prob is Gerber.com won't sell em to non LEO/Active Mil.

SOG Twitch XL in black. It's very thin, all metal, sharp, and doesn't look out of place when I'm in jeans or got a 3 piece suit on. Very elegant, durable, and fast to open.

SOG behind the belt buckle, easily reached with either hand. It is a SOG Flash II assisted opener, very light and carried for defense only. For mundane chores I carry a SAK and use it constantly.

Keep losing my Spyderco Delicas, so I recently picked up a couple of Buck Vantage Selects (large and small) which I'm now carrying. Picked them because they seem to be a nice design, only cost around $20, and they are American made to boot. If I lose one, I'm not out quite as much as with a Delica.

most days it's one of three different Benchmades. As per the why, two were issued when I was on AD, the other was a gift. I've found the brand to be reliable and sturdy.

I will also carry on occasion a Shrade. I dont carry it as much due to the lack of a pocket clip. I prefer a clip versus a holster/ case.

Right now, on my person, I have a Spyderco Tenacious, and a Case 32087 penknife. In my bag, I have a Victorinox Tinker, and a Schrade 156OT.

Guess I don't pick one. I like knives, and like having choices in what I have on my person and available to use for different purposes.

I used to carry a SOG, but now keep a Buck Rush clipped to my belt. A pocket knife is one of those things I grew up with. You can't get around not having one when you need a sharp tool on hand for some small task.

As I keep losing or giving away knives I've finally settled on CRKT pocket knives. They are an excellent value, hold up well, hold an edge, and they have some interesting styles.

CRKT mainly for work. I also have a Meyerco that I got from Bladematrix for a good price that holds a decent edge. I prefer a 4" folder for EDC. I also have a couple Boker pieces that I will pack from time to time. For special occasions I have a couple Kissing Crane stag handle folders, a peanut and a congress. I also have a bleached bone handled straight razor, but its not really carried on any occasion but its sharpness sometimes makes me want to consider it as a backup knife. I have a Case XX congress that my grandfather gave me but its hanging out in the safe with my guns. I dont think I have quite grown into carrying it yet.

edit: my favorite fixed blade is an Ontario Knives Shiv, Ive never regretted buying it and its taken alot of abuse out on the fourwheeling trail.

Mines a Kershaw...the "Needs Work" model.

I'm a flat bed trucker and my job is hard on knives, a lot of cutting heavy conveyor belt type stuff to use as padding under straps and chains...the Kershaw has been the best knife I've had in quite some time.

Good price on a great knife.
