What is the caliber of your Every Day Carry pistol?

What is the caliber of your Every Day Carry? The gun you carry the majority of the time.

Almost exclusively 9mm for the last 25 years. Pretty much the same gun for all those years too, a S&W Model 6906; I find it an excellent combination of concealability and mag capacity (12 rds). My only exceptions have been when traveling to states with mag cap restrictions, like NY, NJ, MA, etc...... then it's either a S&W 2" .38 revolver, or my S&W M3913, which is just an 8 shot version of the M6906.

Does anyone want to own up to carrying the .25acp? I would love to know what model gun you carry? I carried a CZ 45 (.25acp) for many years (I couldn't afford a Browning vest pocket) before the Seecamps came out in .32acp. By the time I had almost saved enough for a Seecamp the NAA Guardian .32acp came out and I bought the guardian instead.

I was guessing that the 9mm's and .40's would more equally matched. I am a 9mm fan myself... .40's always jam my Dillon press which always irks me to a great degree.

I knew there would be atleast one .357 Sig owner... I ran out of possible choices.

I carried a 38 jframe for past 6 or 7 years. Ever since I got my permit. Just recently though, I have decided to switch to a 380.

I voted 9mm. in my Kahr CM9 for my EDC. But I do on occasion like to carry a .38 Special in a S&W Model 649 or a Model 638.

Not regularly, but I've done it on occasion ("regularly" is the thread subject.) The gun was (is) a Taurus PT25. I have two of them, more out of intrigue than anything else. One is stainless and the other is blued/matte-black. I do also have a Bauer, but have never carried it.

For the thread, I chose 9mm Parabellum (Luger.) But, that may change in the near future if the Kahr CW45 I recently acquired checks out well.

How do you like the DB9? I just ordered one and it should be here this week. I love my Kahr CM9 but it is a bit too big for pocket carry.

Well, mixed so far.

Size is great, it carries very well. It's like having a large phone in my pocket but still very doable. After a few weeks I now forget it's in my pocket.

The problem is within the 1st 100-200rds I had alot of FTF's. When manually sling shotting the slide home with a full mag 3 outa 5 would hang up so they can't all be limp wristing. I polished the ramp and chamber entrance and in the last several mags I've shot I've only had 2 FTF so it seems to be breaking in and I'm getting used to shooting it but it's hard to fully trust it yet.

.....and she kicks like a mule!

135grn Hornady Critical Duty 9mm, although once I burn through what I have on hand I'll probably go back to the 147grn XTP.

.32acp, most often a kel-tec in my pocket, or a Colt 1903 on my hip. I have plenty bigger, but these carry so well that they're my usual fare except in the woods, an unknown area, or cold weather.

The post office is telling me that my DB9 should arrive at the store today. I am looking forwards to trying it out! May I inquire what ammo you are using for the break in?

I sit at a desk in front of a computer in an office all day (Systems engineer... i.e. programmer). My Kel-Tec P32 in my front pocket just vanishes... I had to thump my front pocket just now to see if I had forgotten it this morning! :)
Like you I carry bigger when I am in the woods... and even bigger if I am in the city!

Seecamp 25 acp. why would i have to own up. i've been concealed carrying at home and at work for 25 years now. It works for me and I dont feel underarmed when i carry it. I bought a new one and im using it. I could care less which keyboard commando disagrees. By the way i own firearms in many different calibers from 22 short to 45 colt.

Wow only one for the old war horse 45colt .That would be me I guess .I own other calibers 357 and 9,22mag 22 and 44 but I just fill ready for anything with a good 45 revolver .With the right loads of course.

115gr Fed ball mostly. Have shot some Gold Dot 124gr, and some HST micro 124gr along with a cpl mags of 115gr Tula.

I've read they are not built to shoot anything over 124gr but im not sure how much truth there is to that? Its fine either way because i carry with 124gr Gold Dot anyway. I'll use the heavy 147gr HST and the hot Buffalo Bore 115gr +p+ in my bigger 9x19's. That little DB9 is enough of a handful with standard velocity 115gr-124gr.

Good luck with yours. It's so simple to just grab and slip in your pocket when you are in a hurry yet still feel adequately armed. Let me know your opinion when ever you get a chance to try it out!

9mm for me, either a full size (G17, M&P, 92FS, SP-01) or a Shield 2.0 that I just picked up.

I feel special.

Apparently I am the only one in the crowd that openly admits to carrying a 22LR.... A Smith 43C is ALWAYS in my front pocket. Always. Now I usually also carry a 9mm or 38 special on my hip, but the Smith 22 is always with me.

I carry a NAA .22mag revolver in summer mainly when I am wearing shorts. I just carry my P-32 or LCP more often.
