2 - Benchmade Mini Griptilian standard with 154CM

I'm only listing the knives I have that have a pocket clip, if I were to list ALL of my pocketknives, I'd be here all night. In case it isn't obvious, I really like the Mini-Grip. The handle fits well, and the action can't be beat for smoothness. While it's not an assisted opener, it's as fast or faster to get open than my Buck Tempest which is an assisted opener. The D2 is the one I carry most of the time, I really like it.

The Sebenza is the HumVee of pocket knives, it's tougher than hell and it'll be one of the only things left in existence (along with the cockroaches) if society destroys itself. Tough doesn't even begin to describe the quality of build on this thing. The only reason it's not my daily carry knife is that as strong as the frame lock is, I don't like that I have to use two hands to close it. The Mini-Grip is just too smooth and easy to handle.

Depends on what my planned activities for the day are:

Work and business dress: Kershaw Chive
Nothing in particular: Kershaw Blur
Working around ropes: Victorinox Helmsman
Diving: Underwater Kinetics Remora
Kayaking: Gerber River Shorty
Working in the shop: Schrade multi-tool
Somewhere PC: SAK Pioneer
Somewhere that doesn't allow knives: Swisstech Utilikey

I don't like that I have to use two hands to close it.

I don't use two hands to close my Sebenza, or any other of my frame/liner locking folders. Just release the lock with the thumb while the index finger applies a little pressure to the back of the blade to move it to the detent, then just close the rest of the way. I also close by unlocking and closing against the outer thigh.

Lots of good knives out there, just find what you like.

My new every day carry is Kershaw ener-g2 1745. It is couple years old. It is not assisted open and is legal to carry. It opens as fast as assisted open when you get over the learning curve. It flips open with a flip of a finger. I paid 39.00 for mine and I lucked out and got a first production run 1 of 500.
