Who the heck bought a Mark 7 press without an autodrive?
I'll bet there are a bunch of folks who bought the entry level Evolution...back when they were $2500, or even the current $3000...who didn't get the Autodrive.

I'll bet they thought they'd get it later...as it almost doubled the introductory price of the press

I am skeptical. Who the heck would pay the extra cost of the Evolution over a Dillon if you weren't going to automate it? I don't get who fits in that category.

It's like trying to find the guy who ordered the Gulfstream VI with vinyl upholstery and fixed landing gear that limits top speed to 200 kts.

I had my doubts too, but then found a couple of locals guys who did just that.

They had been looking at the Dillon 1050 but just couldn't bring themselves to pull the trigger on a machine that had a limited warranty, known needed upgrades, and limited stations. Once the Evolution was introduced with 10 stations, it was enough to tip the scales for them. That it was gear driven was just icing on the cake...especially with the eventual intention of adding autodrive. I'm sure it also helped that it was designed by 3 USPSA shooters who had gotten tired of fussing with the Dillon 1050s
