the ones i know of are the
USMC M40
Army M24
The M21 (unsure of branches using these)
US Navy MK11

and i know Mr Hathcock used a Winchester Model 70 in 30-06 unsure of designation
the Cheytac M200 Intervention (unsure if ever used)
and the mother of all thats holy the Barrett M82A1/M107 .50BMG

anyone know a more complete list?

You mean you havent heard?? The undead are massing their armies as we speak. That aint no **** neither!!! We must remain vigilant and be prepared for the inevitable zombie apocolypse:D.

Well I have plenty of guns, ammo, and experience throughout my family. Any type of threat wouldn't choose my place to start with if they new what was good for them, but zombies? hahaha Thats funny. As for the freeway display, that person got fired, or somebody really messed up.

yea yea haha zombies i guess a guy has to be 100% serious all the time

right now, no US units are officially issued any .338 rifle or any Chey-Tac.

On the Navy side, you've missed

MK12
MK13
MK15

The Barret really isn't accurate enough to be used as a sniper rifle as far as I'm concerned. How much it is crippled by being relegated to machine gun ammo, I don't know, but the MK15 (a bolt gun) is markedly more accurate.

thanks owen

that brings up a good point i guess we can include trial guns and experimental models like the M24A3 (.338 Lapua Magnum) and the CheyTac .408
