Took classes today to get re-certified in expandable baton carry and also pepper spray. While certification is not required for carrying pepper spray in TN, it can't hurt to have the certification, should the need arise to have to use it. Baton class was first and then after lunch, the pepper spray. After the instruction and written test, we went outside and got Sabre Defensive swabbed on our cheeks, just below our eyes. Then, we got to go for a little walk. We got back to the instruction area, where we got to splash two double handfulls of water on our faces. After a few minutes, we stood in a line, and with our eyes burning, we had to "tough it out", performing strikes and blocks with our batons as they were called out by our instructors.

All in all, it was interesting. And my sinuses haven't been clearer in years.

Was the pepper spray class the one sponsored/created by Sabre? I ask because apparently that is the class taught at a local security training place in Gwynn Oak, MD (just NW of Balitmore City), and the class is being offered for regular citizens.

The class wasn't sponsored by Sabre, but Sabre is the only spray our LGS carries.
