Expensive Magazines

The bane of semi auto firearms.
You have to have reliable spare magazines or the gun becomes a hard to load single shot,,,
Provided it doesn't come equipped with a magazine safety.
Lose your magazines in this case and you are truely screwed.

Many manufacturers are following Beretta's leed of altering the magazines slightly on newer models so older models won't work in them and then discontinuing the older models completely and stopping the manufacture of spare parts and magazines.
Pure genius from a marketing standpoint and a source of constant irritation for the rest of us!

It is just a matter of demand...there is more demand for AR-15 mags than for XD mags, plus it is a ore competitive market (more supply)

I remember when Ruger would not sell factory 20 round Mini 14 magazines to us common folk. The factory ones you could find were 80 to 100 bucks a pop and most of the aftermarket Mini 14 magazines did not work. Now with the change in Rugers policy you can get factory 20's for under 20 bucks.

I had a Sig and those magazines were $35-45 a pop. I have since switched to Glocks at $20 a magazine even cheaper for the Korean Mags.
