I'm glad to hear all the positive comments. I'd never heard of the brand. But I stopped at a garage sale a couple weeks back, and an old fellow had 10 boxes ( 50 rounds/bx ) of 45 ACP for sale. He said if I bought all 10 boxes, I could have them for $9/box. That sounded pretty good. So I decided to take the chance that it would be decent ammo. Still haven't had a chance to try it out.

I have been using S&B in every caliber from .25, thru .45, and never had any problems at all. It has gone up in price recently, but still good ammo. I also use it in my M-1 carbine with no problems. Overall, I would have to say it's as good as anything out there.

S&B is a fine ammunition. I just picked up 1500 rounds of 9MM Parabellum for 7.99 a box from Cabelas. It's good, it's clean, and has reloadable brass. I much prefer this ammo to Wolf's steel cased ammo simply because it doesn't beat up the internals of my guns so much and it's cheaper. :D

Also, as a POF, Winchester uses S&B for its metric calibers. Check out a 7.62 Tokarev round from Winchester and one from S&B sometime. They are the same (minus the dried red Kool-aid), but S&B is typically 4 bucks cheaper a box.

Get it, stock up on it, you won't be disappointed.

I've found the S&B .303 reliable and accurate but not easy to reload properly.
I had to anneal the necks and the Primer pockets were so undersized that caps would detonate while seating, so I had to ream the primer pockets.

I like S&B, especially their 12 ga 12 ball 00 Buckshot.

I've used S&B in 9x18, 9mm, 7.62x25, 38 Special and 12ga.

Some S&B 9mm JHP didn't do well, or did very well, depending on how you look at it.

Where JHP 45ACP expanded and only penetrated these wet phone books 2 1/4 inches, the S&B (and WWB FMJ) went clean through them.

I've been shooting S&B for at least 10 years and probably at least 20K-30K rounds. 9mm, .40S&W, .45ACP and 12ga 00buck. I always purchase by the case. (1000 pistol, 250 12ga shells)

I like their pistol cartridges because they have sealed primers and bullets, which I feel helps in long-term storage. I now primarily shoot M1911s and use S&B (there's a case in the back of my truck right now) in my custom builds without any reservations. They are at least as accurate as white box or red box ammo.

I no longer use their 12 guage shells though, these shoot extremely dirty and inaccurately because the 00 is not loaded into a shot cup and throws wide & inconsistent patterns.

i have only shot thier 12ga 00 buck and i have had 0 issues. it is good stuff though it is the ammo that tactical response sells in the gear shop.

I have used them for odd caliber ammo (stuff its not worth my time or money to reload, canuse i only shoot 20 rounds every few years), and have never had a problem with any of it.

Never shot any of their pistol ammo, but I love their .223 stuff. Too bad it's $7.00 a box now. Used to buy it just a few years ago for $4.50 a box.
