Hey folks,

I'm in the middle of my first AR build and today I happened across a complete barreled upper for what appears to be an awesome $350 (includes B/BC/CH).

The part that's giving me issues is that this upper is apparently manufactured by M&A Inc, a company that I have never heard of before. Are they reputable, or should I be a bit wary about this whole thing?

For the curious, the upper is a 20" pre-ban, A2 configuration, 1:9 twist, non-chromed, with a threaded flash-hider. Seem like a good deal?

M&A is the low end on the quality spectrum. If you just want the gun for plinking it'll be fine. If your life will be potentially depending on the gun, then look elsewhere.

+1 to nalioth. We have 2 rifles from M&A kits. Everything fit perfectly well, and both rifles function without a hitch. I am not sure I would look at them as a sub-standard supplier. The upper I bought 3 months ago from M&A was manufactured by LMT, and I have a feeling that LMT is a first line operation. Rifle #6 is on a Del-Ton kit. (I think the Del-Ton is the best value.) Del-Ton has an ATN tac laser, SureFire G2 w/remote switch, Yankee Hill forearm, and an Aimpoint ML2. M&A rifle has a ACOG, SureFire Scout Light, Insight Technology CLV-001 tact laser, BiPod fore grip, Vltor collapsable butt stock, and Vltor CSAV forearm. I would bet my life on either rifle, plus the other 5 rifles built from kits.
