DS Arms, Inc for AR uppers? Quality, or look elsewhere?

I am in the market for one or two complete AR uppers, for home defense AR's. DS Arms, Inc has some on sale for reasonable prices, $250-350. Are they a good-to-go company, or should I look elsewhere?

I want either 14.5 inch barrel with welded flash-hider or 16 inch barrel with mid-length gas system, doesn't matter much to me, not interested in distances beyond 200 yards, max. Not interested in silencers. Not interested in competitions, hunting, etc. Just target shooting 50-200 yards with RDS such as Aimpoint PRO and home defense. If not DS Arms, do you guys have any better places I should be looking for uppers? Don't want to spend more than maybe $500 each, and hopefully less.

DS puts good rifles together using quality parts just be specific in what you want. I like Aero Precision for upper and lower receivers and barrels, a little more expensive but real quality parts come off their line.

I have a DSA carbine that has served me well and have had no issues r failures of any kind with it to date (unless you count missing that coyote at 350-400 yds a failure LOL)
