I am trying to find a good Pic. or Weaver type rail to put on my CZ527. I know about the one from Kalinka, but I have heard that it is hit or miss on quality.
I would like it to be extra long, because I plan on mounting a Vortex Strikefire on it. The lower the better. I have dreams of co-witness, but I'm not really that delusional.
All I really need to know is who makes a base that is in the vicinity of 6"-9" long with a flat base. The plan is to mount it front and rear on the receiver, and then try to dovetail (somehow) the back end for a aperture sight, and adjust the front sight to match.
That would be perfect, but I have no idea which guns to begin looking at mounts for. Maybe an ARMS SWAN rail... You tell me
