Ninja-MAXX!

So um.. since people actually do seem to be buying this "Totally rad EXXXTReme ninja ammo" stuff .. if anyone wants to start reloading .. I came up with this. We could just slap this on the box and charge a couple bucks a round. :D

Any one that uses the Box of truth site as a divine oracle is not to be trusted. Sorry, the Box of Truth is for entertainment purposes only. It might be a fun site to read, but their test are not scientific in any way, shape or form.

I once fired a .22 Jennings into mud and it produced fist sized craters.

Mud????? he he

Have not tested it, but have read reviews

I'm not saying the ammo is good or bad or whether mud tests mean anything. I just reported what I know and it seems to be congruent with the company's claims. I use DPX and can't prove it's the best ammo either. I've never shot anything but paper targets, gongs, water bottles and an aluminum cake pan. I may be a fool for buying such expensive ammo. I just like the idea that the bullet is less likely to break up and cor-bon's reputation is ok with me.

One thing I know for sure -
Shooting is fun!

I find it hilarious that they couldn't even find 3 guys to pose for this picture and just used the same guy for all the poses. When you add the black face photoshopped onto the character on the right, it turns this picture into a marketing comic masterpiece.

But to answer the poll: I don't intend to hunt ninjas or terrorists anytime soon, so no, I'll never buy it.

I have shot most of the stuff that they sell,at one time or another. Most of it is good ammo ,but it is priced high.By the way, they make the stuff about 4 miles from where I live.
I have watched them test their ammo on many diffrent items, from steel plate to dead hogs, and most, if not all of it,does what they claim it will.
Not too long ago there was a German company,I don't recall hearing their name,at the building where they make their ammo, and from what I could tell, they liked it very much. But since I don't speak German,I could not understand what they were saying.
By the way,I don't know where they came up with the packing they use,but I don't think it is anybody from around here.
Don't let the pictures on the pack fool you,the ammo is good.Just use the pack for a target to shoot.:)

gunblast.com gave the ammo a good review this month.
Gun blast also advocates the use of glaser safety slugs. You won't find any of today's terminal ballistics experts agreeing with either positions. On a side note, I do read some of the stuff at gunblast from time to time. I've noticed that I've never really seen a bad review. Just looking on the front page right now I see a review of blackhawk holsters. There's a large paragraph devoted to the serpa but no mention of its fairly decently known negatives. Crossbreed's holster has a nice long review calling it an innovate design with no mention of it being a cheap knock-off of tucker's "the answer." I would personally do more than rely on a magazine, printed or online, for my sole source of information on any subject, but especially terminal ballistics.

I don't have the ability to do my own gelatin tests but after viewing the results of others testing, I would certainly not recommend it or use it myself. I feel reasonably safe trusting the experts in the field, much like I do with other matters of health ;)

Hexidismal,

I like the idea of shooting star knives out of my Glock. Where can I get some?

Ammo priorities IMHO: Reliability, penetration, accuracy (could be considered part of reliability), permanent crush cavity. I can't recommend Extrizzeeme Shizzock due to them getting a couple of these out of order. Ditto on the Glazer's.

Performs as advertised in animals in .223 but I have never tried the handgun rounds and probably will not. There are other, better established, types and brands out there with almost-universal support and proven track records. I tried it on a lark because I had some of it for free.

Still, though, I can't actually say anything bad about performance because it worked for me.

i personally think that it is a gimmik and doesn't preform as advertised, there was a recent post about that ammo and the box of truth and i wasn't impressed, especially for as much as it cost. i will stick with the ammo i carry.

I just purchased a box of .223 62gr. from extremeshock. I will post some pictures when I do a ballistic gelatin test after I receive the ammo.

It ought to be called Extremely overpriced. Somehow I don't think I will ever be attacked by a 500 lb hog.

Man, that advertisement is cheesy.

Looking at it was funnier than reading hank's comments on what a bullet ought to be able to do for that kind of money.

Looks like a poster for a Power Rangers movie.
