If an individual were to aquire a Registered Transferrable HK F/A Sear out of a gun or as a stand alone part what guns could it be used in. I know it can be used in MP5 variants, and G3 Variants but could it be used in the newer guns such as a semi-auto UMP 9mm converted from a USC or a semi-auto G36 converted from an SL8 both being registered SBR's with the (0,1,Full) housing and the (0,1,2/3,Full) housing.

for what it's worth - i was considering buying one of THESE and while i was searching for information on how to attach a stock to it (i just wanted it for a SBR), i found that some folks were having the BCG welded and using it as a host for registered sears.

all they needed to put a f/a lower on a semi was a f/a bolt carrier, band saw,and a bridgeport.cut off the ears, then put the lower in a bridgeport and cut a 1/4 inch slot in the front of the lower section of the tg to match the semi.pops right in.then you can time the bolt to the release tab.my friend, who is a nfa manufacturer, showed me how he did it back in may 86,when i stayed at his place for a couple days stamping belt feds.they wouldn't let him register the lowers as mg's,but let other mfg's do it.go figure.
