Based on what... there are plus p listings but the only loading higher in standard is Rainier at .2 more... so if you like to live dangerously that's on you.No, it isn't.
No, it isn't.
According to the chart posted he's at starting min load. Bump the charge up a 0.1 or 0.2gr and it should clear up.

I have been going by the data in my Lee manual. I looked at the Ram zip site and it pretty much matched my manual. So, I started at 4.1 and went to 4.6. But yeah, I guess I could try the +P loads.Break Free CLP to cut friction. May try hotter, towards +P?View attachment 974264
or put the old extractor back in and try your reloads.

So, this is fresh off the Ramshot page, and if you're indeed using 4.6, then you're at the top of the standard pressure loads. No worries as Glocks will stand +P loading, but something is darn sure wrong. My first suggestion is that you're not actually getting 4.6 grains. Pull a bullet and reweigh the powder. My second is that the ejector isn't right. Take it back out and reinstall.
Ohh, I don't think you should go into +P loading as yet. If you 365 fires them, the 19 should as well. I'd exhaust other possiblilties first.
So, I started at 4.1 and went to 4.6.
That was all fine. How did the 4.1gr loads shoot and cycle in your Glock? How did the 4.2gr loads (or your next step) shoot and cycle?

How will a slower powder help? Plus, can you recommend one?
That was all fine.
you don’t necessarily have to redline the load to get good velocity.
personally, if the factory rounds are ejecting, the new ejector is probably good. I would hazard a guess, based now on what we know, is the light rounds are short cycling the slide... just enough where the new ejector pushes the case off the extractor, wedging it in the chamber. I wouldn’t venture past your current load... I did that with my HiPower once upon a time and got into trouble. I would shorten your OAL a bit and see if that help the cycling.
It's very possible that I am not getting exactly 4.6. I had made 100 rounds. Somewhere in the middle of making those 100 rounds I tightened up the drum on my powder measure because a few flakes were escaping with each pull. So, they may have been a bit light, but still within the range. I just went and did 15 measures and 14 of them came out to 4.6. One was 4.7. I'll have to make some new ones now that I am pretty confident about the consistency.
You say you are too new to reloading to to figure this out....how are you weighing the charge? Are you sure of your powder measurement? If using a beam scale, is the poise set correctly?
Does the extractor move freely tosnap over the cart. rim? Does the cart. feed onto the extractor from the mag? You replaced the ejector; does it move freely?
