WA State THR members: does anyone know what happened to Fall City Firearms? I drove by there today only to find that the place is boarded up and is now owned by the WA Department of Transportation. I hope the business has merely relocated.

That sounds to be quite unfortunate. Although I have not lived in the valley for over 10 years now, It is sad to hear that those who helped support my hobby in the early years are not around anymore. By the way, There is always DJ's Loan and sport in Bothell. They are very pleasant to deal with. I have been buying guns from them for over 17 years. Even though I liver far away now, I still manage to end up stopping by when I am in town.

I heard the WSDOT took their business so they can install a Roundabout.
Stupid Washington state.
If I remember they said they don't think they will relocate.

Dang! I hate to resurrect old threads, but I haven't bought any guns in years, and the last time I did I used the good folks at Fall City Firearms as my FFL agent.

Assuming the info about was true, this is yet another example of the Washington State Goverment doing its darndest to "get in the way" instead of "staying out of the way".

Just last weekend, our legislature decided to RAISE taxes by close to $1 billion to pay for government "overruns". Of course, you never hear about them mothballing reduntant programs to save money...

...or closing down a government run agency if they need land for a roundabout!

If anyone knows of a good FFL dealer near Issaquah, let me know.

I live in Carnation and remember seeing a sign for a gunsmith in Fall City. Just as you exit Fall City and turn onto the Fall City Preston road there is a sign up for a gunsmith. I am going to go check it out. Also troll gunbroker.com to buy all my weapons, except for my Vietnam era Colt M16A1 minus the disconnector :D , and I use this guy who lives on Sammamish Ridge.

He's very friendly and I have had 4 guns come through him.

PS If I get the number of the gunsmith I will repost

Hate to resurect a dead thread, but thought it would make some people happy, and be a good first post. I have it on good authority, (Fall City Firearms half owner) that Lee will be re-opening Fall City Firearms on the main drag (202) in Fall City (the old video nites) in February. Just heard that Yesterday.

I've known Lee personally (through his business) for many years, and he always has the most competitive prices in the area. He always beats Wades, Bens loan, etc.

Fall City Firearms reopened February 2011

Fall City Firearms is alive and well back in Fall City, same proprietor but differenet location (Still on the main street though). New number is 425-222-3844, come by and say Hello! That is February 2011

Sounds like it's time for little Chris to have her DOT do some road widening in Fall City. Can't be having those gun dealers all over the state ya know! :fire:

Glad I left that area a long time ago. Fall City Firearms was always good for a visit at least.

Glad to see they are back in business, they were always a good shop. +1 on DJ's in Bothell. Decent prices, owner likes to wheel and deal, pretty nice folks excellent selection.

FYI I use west coast armorys gunsmith named Jim. He's IMHO very good but you have to be VERY specific about what you want done. This makes sense as he cant read your mind or know every single gun. His rates are 70/hr with a 35 buck minimum. If you send him a detailed list he can send you a quote. Hes got a 1 or 2 week back log pretty much always but I think thats because you will be suprised at what this guy can do in 1 hour.

Cheers,
