I hate for my great state of Texas to be mentioned that way, but sometimes the truth is ugly. A range where I've shot in McKinney Texas is being driven out of business. Collin County Gun Range used to be rural. The city annexed them and has been attempting to legislate them out of business by regulating hours of operation (9-5 M-F. Isn't that great! Lock the doors before anybody gets off work!). Anyway--this kind of stuff really ticks me off. If you want to email the city fathers (maybe mothers is more appropriate) you can find them at
http://www.mckinneytexas.org/city/profiles.htm
The range has a home page at
http://www.ccgunrange.com/
there are some comments on the bottom of the page about hours of opertion.
I'm pretty sure they also have a legal defense fund, but I don't know the specifics.
