My little girl is almost 8 and knows I'm a knife guy. With her mother's help she got me the first knife I have ever received on Father's day (and I have a thirty year old as well from the first ex). Anyway, little Ella asked to be taken to Dick's by her mother, and while at the counter she first picked out a $13 dollar knife. My wife nudged her and said you can pick out another one if you like...her very next selection was the "grey" knife. This knife enclosed in clear plastic with a red insert happened to be a Kershaw Cryo, pictured here. She said she liked it the best for me, as my wife retold the story later. The knife is a little small for my hand, the thumb studs are worthless, but it has cool, functional flipper, not even close to the sharpest blade I have felt on a Kershaw...and I love it. It will be one I keep as a non-working piece and take out only when she wants to see it and as I get grayer and want to remember my little sweetpea's thoughtful, loving gesture for her dad.
