Me and a couple of the grandkids will get the Red Ryder BB guns and the Ruger 10/22 out later today after the temps drop below 100*. The heat doesn’t slow them down but it kicks my tail. Happy Fathers Day to all the dads.

You have my empathy. Lost my dad in October 2021 just shy of his 94th birthday.

On the road today; hope to talk with my dad this evening. He’s not a shooter. I miss my FIL who got me into hunting.

Best Father's Day ever for me - it fell on my wife's and my anniversary (51st) this year. We went to church this morning, and if we feel like it (and the weather cooperates) we might go shoot a few more ground squirrels over on our friend's ranch this afternoon.
Even though my own dad is gone now, he would agree - Father's Days don't get any better than this one. Besides, my wife's and my oldest grandson was with us when we went ground squirrel shooting a few weeks ago, and he's getting married to a lovely girl the middle of next month. So next Father's Day, I might very well be a great grandfather.
Just to keep this a little gun related though - our oldest grandson (who lives in Nevada now) borrowed my old 10-22 to shoot ground squirrels with a few weeks ago, but his EDC is a Glock G19.

Today, in honor of all our Fathers, I fired my golf ball mortar five times and blew up a watermelon with a pound of tannerite. ( it was a rotten old watermelon.)

Went to a little gunshow with my youngest. Wasnt really looking for anything in particular. Bought a magnesium fire-starter.

Normally Father's Day would mean a new gun but this year after several nice guns I decided to forego another gun. Not that I won't get around to it. Two graduating grandchildren, vacation plans, a freezer that died, a washing machine that died and other miscellaneous surprises. Overall today was a nice enough Father's Day, even less a new gun. The kids called with best wishes and that made my day.
