Happy Fathers Day to all the other Dads out there.

I got my morning wake-up call from my 10 year old son this morning. Bouncing on my bed bright and early. I got a couple really nice cards. The wife took him out yesterday and got me some 223 for Fathers Day too.

What kind of cool gun related stuff did you guys get for Fathers Day.

Not a father yet, but I got my soon-to-be-father-in-law some powder for his muzzle loaders. Nothing special, but kind of counts lol.

Happy fathers day to all. Today happens to be my 12 year anniversary and fathers day. I got a watch from my kids and my wife got me a new set of oars for our john boat. I also got 4 boxes of 28ga shells winchester AA hs and a couple boxes of .380 critical defense. All and all a pretty good day. I am to cheap to buy many 28's and have not seen critical defense rounds for some time.

Kids all grown up with kids of their own, but wife of 32 years gave me a better spotting 'scope. She also showed me what I was doing wrong when I had trouble getting my 1911A1 reassembled. How's that for a "good woman"?

Another Fathers Day wish to all

Happy FAthers day to everyone out there!

My dad is gone but he was a Korean vet and he liked what he called "cowboy guns". He bought alot of his way back before all those things attained the high value that they have now days. Unfortunatley ma was mad and a relative in the law enforcement community talked her into giving them to him for disposal at the steel mill. Years later I saw some of the pieces on display at his home. Enough said about that. Anyway to those reading respect your dads and remember be good to them (they wont always be around).

Also you can always get yourself a Fathers Day gift. Know what I mean?

Happy Fathers day and have a steak and a beer!

Today is my second Father's Day and my first anniversary (yeah, yeah baby first). Anyhow, the wife went in half with me on a new Lee Deluxe Turret Kit about a month ago. We saw a good deal on one and she proposed that it could be an early Father's Day/anniversary gift. I took her up on that one.

Over the course of yesterday and today, I got a new bottle of HP-38, 1000 Win. SP Primers, a primer flipper, and a Lyman 1200. Awesome! What a great wife (Well, I guess my 20 mo. old daughter gave me the powder+primers). I'm a lucky man.

We must be the easiest people to shop for. I know my wife doesn't even have to ask what I want. If she doesn't know one thing in particular, I'm always quite excited about gift cards to Midway, Bass Pro, Brownells.

I sure hope you guys have a great day as well.

I bought myself a nice handmade oak gun rack for Father's Day. It has one extra slot that needs to be filled. What's the next holiday?

My birthday is in July, so for a combination fathers day/birthday gift, I'm getting my carry permit. Class is July 31st. Can't wait.

Another july baby, huh Paul? I share a birthday with my best friend in the whole world.......my dog. We were both born on July 8th.

ETA: Had to check your profile, scary, we are both hitting the big THREE-OH! Feels like I am getting old quick. Oh well, I still got a little powder left to burn.

Still in Iraq, but I should be home in time for 4th of July weekend. We're planning to do the Father's Day thing then. I intend to get a few nice things for myself when I get home: Glock 27, Taurus 94, and Marlin 981T. And a new bicycle for my 2 year old. ;)

I'll be 30 on July 10th, and am also getting my carry permit this summer. Can't wait!

Oh man, don't remind me. I'm not doing too well with it. It's like as long as your age starts with a 2 you're ok. Oh well, they say 40 is the new 30, so maybe 30 is the new 20.

Another one!!

I know what you mean. I was thinking about it the other night, and 20 didnt seem like that long ago, I'm only that far away from 40. Damn. If I knew I was going to live this long, I would have took better care of myself!

I took my youngest daughter to the local outdoor range to learn shooting her 1st .22LR rifle. The rifle is a new-old-stock Remington Model 5 youth model I picked up a week ago.

Afterwards, we ended up gettin' some ice cream in a shop that had no working AC. We had to eat fast. :D

Great thread! My father's day gift came in the form of my oldest daughter going to the range with me for the first time. We've talked about going together previously, but it just never worked out. I snapped this pic after her very first mag on the S&W 4043-priceless.

I am hoping my self-given Father's Day gift will be a successful partial trade at next weekend's gun show. Going to be trying to peddle off my EAA Bounty Hunter in .44 mag + some cash for another New Vaquero in .45 Colt. Hope I find a dealer who will be interested!

I got myself a nice Blackhawk leather Check Six OWB holster for my new Glock 26. And my wife got me a card (from my 13-month old son, of course ;) ) with big car magnet that said #1 DAD on it.

And you know I proudly drove around all day with that goofy thing on the truck, too :)

Also, I have to add that I turned 29 earlier this month, for the 1st time ;)

My gun savy wife got her dad and me each an LPC coyote special. Kids got me a Benchmade knife. Mother-in-law bought us all lunch at "the club". No complaints from me. Glad to see you young guys did well too.

That's a cute picture.
Being married 30 years this year and not having any kids, I can say that you dad's be happy and enjoy every moment that you are with your kids. I always wanted a boy, but the good Lord never had me have any kids for some reason. I feel like there is this big hole in my life and it is because I have no children.

First we did something my daughter loves to do; go shopping at the mall (imagine that). Then later, we went to the range (something we both love to do), where she did a great job shooting her Beretta Neos. I switched to the orange Champion and Caldwell Orange Peel targets as she had trouble seeing the front sight on the black bullseye. Maybe a red dot for her birthday might help.

Funny thing was the rangemaster said that were busy all day long and that it was almost all dads with their daughters (I counted 5 other father/daughter combos there). He wondered where the sons were and I told him they were probably home playing video games (I'm pretty sure that's what my son was doing). Oh well, had a great time and really enjoyed the time spent with my daughter.

I didn't get to the range with my daughter

this year which is what I usually like to do. This was my fault not hers. She did give me a gift certificate for Cabelas which just goes to show that she has been paying attention while the wife has not. I am gonna use it to buy 200 rounds of 7.62 that they have on sale right now. I am hoping to take her to an IDPA match with me next weekend.

I got $80.00 to spend as I please. I'll add that to the $400.00 I've been squirreling away for a future purchase.

Oh yea, I also recieved a rebate check for the insurance I cancelled on the Mustang Convertible I sold in the amount of $113.00.

With the check I'm up to $593.00, now all I have to do is decide if I want to buy another gun, ammo, accessories or just hold on to it for a while.
