I might have a chance to attend a 2nd Amendment Rally in April at the capitol building in Harrisburg, PA; I'm trying to decide on a sidearm to wear open for the event; out of these types listed below, what's your favorite and why?
1) compact revolver or semi auto...something like a S & W snub-nosed revolver or Ruger LC9 that can be converted to concealed carry if bearer has proper permit to do so (overreaction by member of public)
2) full-sized semi auto...something like a Glock 17, Springfield XD, 1911, etc; usually what I've seen in pictures taken at rallies
3) full-sized revolver...something like S & W 686 or Ruger GP100; don't see many of these in public displays
I'm not sure whether to lean towards a ccw piece that can be concealed en route to and from the rally & converted to open carry on site or just chance an interaction with law enforcement if some Joe or Joann Q. Public sees my sidearm and overreacts; unfortunately parking will be several blocks away and I will be seen walking to and from the event...
thanks for your feedback...
