The SR9c.

The trigger is just awesome 8 ways to Sunday. Most guns need serious gunsmithing work to get a trigger that smooth and light. I also have the LC9 and like it even more for carry, but for ergonomics and accuracy and firepower, the SR9c is a solid choice.

I've looked at the SR9c and the LC9 and I mirror shockwave's observations. I much prefer the feel and function of the SR9c but the LC9 is definitely more concealable. Also, the little Kahrs are really quite nice, IMHO, but on my budget I won't pay the extra cash for one.

My personal favorite, and this is clearly a subjective opinion, is the SA EMP. I love mine. Fits the hand just right, awesome trigger (it's had a trigger job, mind you), great sights, perfectly reliable, and I shoot it well.

Objectively, it's relatively heavy compared to the polymer guns and doesn't hold as many rounds. Objectively, if you can shoot a G19 well, it's a "better" carry choice.

The Glock 19 is a great gun, but I'm not sure I would really consider it a compact pistol. Its only slightly smaller than the full size Glock 17 and not really in the same class as the Glock 26.

That said, I think I would pick the Kahr PM9 as my choice for subcompact 9mm. Great quality, small size, good sights, and fits my hand well.

Glock 19. If I could only have one firearm, period, that would probably be it. Glock 26 runner up.

How so? Assuming that the LC9 is too big to be considered for pocket-carry, this makes both IWB type conceal pistols, and it's hard to imagine a SR9c being considered in any way large-ish and/or heavy when carrying IWB. I'm not criticising those who like or want an LC9, I'm just having a hard time figuring out what problem the LC9 solves. I assumed the LC9 would not exist were it not for the success of the LCP.

I really like the SR9c. I just prefer the slimmer/smaller profile of the LC9 for CC. Wearing baggy pants or overalls one could easily carry the LC9 in a front pocket with less likelihood of printing. If not for ease of CC I definitely wouldn't bother with a LC9.

CZ-82.

Not only a great gun, but a great value.

Here's a pic of mine before I even brought it home.

This one is so fun to shoot and so easy to shoot that it caused me to switch from my 1911 that I once carried daily.

Take your pick: Beretta 84 Cheetah Two-Tone chambered in .380ACP

or HK P2000 chambered in 9mm
