I am in the market for a compact 9mm and I thought I wanted to buy a XD 9mm Sub, after hearing that they are not very accurate I am thinking about the Glock 26 or the M&P compact which has had great reviews.

Do any of you out there know and can give me pointers on the G26 and the M&P?

Which would you choose and why, please explain reasons

How is it's accuracy?????

How well does it point and shot????

How doe sit carry?????

Any problems with either pistol????

Both are outstanding pistols. The edge goes to the M&P9c for ergonomics, and its ability to change palmswells further enhances its ergonomics. Size-wise, they're comparable, with the Glock being ever so slightly smaller. But at the same time, the Glock feels ever so slightly bulkier, at least in my hands. With a flush magazine, the M&P9c has a slight edge in capacity, at 12+1, compared to 10+1 for the Glock 26. You honestly cannot go wrong with either.

Although what you see below is the Glock 33, it has the same dimensions as the Glock 26:

And, here is the M&P9c:

I chose the G26 because it was the smallest of the weapons I considered. Weapons I considered include the M&P, XD-SC, 2075-RAMI, P2000SK, and P99C.

GLOCK has the proven track record.

I never buy ANYTHING in the first few model years.

Let them get the bugs out.

m&p c

i vote for the m&p. i have both. the m&pc fits my hand better. that is not to say that the 26 is not a great gun. if you can get to shoot both, do that then decide.

I think it's a matter of ergonomics. I bought a M&P because I could stand to hold it in my hand. It's been 100% reliable and I don't regret it. I've been surprised to hear that the G26 is smaller; if it is, it sure doesn't seem like it.
