Favorite Hunting Pants?

Deer CAN see the color blue.
That may be true, but in 21 years of hunting deer...primarily in blue jeans, and with a success rate of over 99%, I don't think they CARE when they DO see it. I guess I don't overthink the idea of hunting pants....I either wear older blue jeans, a pear of heavy duty woodland camo cargo pants, or coveralls, dependant on the weather. To this day, though, I don't believe my pants have made or broke a hunt ;)

I bought some of Bass Pros Fleece hunting pants this year and I wondered why I had not done it before. They have some that are windstopper lined also. I may spring for them next year.

get yourself a good pair of chaps...(like Filson), and pull 'em on over your favorite jeans. They will repel briars, mud, snow, burrs, and arent binding. Pull 'em off when you're done hunting. Your jeans will be clean and dry.
Good for spot and stalk, and upland.....not too good for stand hunting 'cause they don't do much to keep you warm.
