Favorite pistol/revolver to shoot?

if you want to get another thousand rounds under your belt, get good practice and have lots of fun, get a ruger markIII and lots of cheap (relatively) ammo.

My absolute favorite right now is a Ruger Mark III with 10 magazines. As for larger calibers I love shooting a S&W 686 with a 4" barrel. Unfortunately I do not have one in my collection yet. For what I have available, I would have to say my G19 with 10+ magazines.

For just a few hours of fun plinking, Colt Huntsman, for something that makes a little more noise, S&W 66.

I only have 2 handguns for the moment, but I regularly get the opportunity to shoot friends' as well. I shot a .45 Springfield XD this weekend for the first time in fact and liked it a lot.

I would say my favorites are the single action revolvers though. I'm a bit nostalgic about the old west so that may be why. My Ruger Blackhawk in .45 Colt is a joy to shoot and very accurate.

For me, it's an odd tie between a glock 19 (with a smooth faced trigger and a 25 cent trigger job) and a plain old government size 1911 (complete with a spur hammer and gi sights).

Hmmm. Favorite to shoot? Depends on Caliber

In 22lr I like my Mark II and P22, but for different reasons.
In a tradtional revolver cartridge, S&W M57 in 41 Mag
In a traditonal auto cartridge, Kimber Pro CDP in 45 ACP, well really any 1911 style pistol.

My favorites are Sig's. But not the polymer framed models. The P229 in .40 S&W, P226 in 9mm, and P220 in .45 ACP

Seven inch Schofield. Built by Uberti and marketed as the "Top Break" 1875 No. 3 Second Model. Comes in 45 Colt, 38 Special, and 44/40.

More fun than can possibly be expressed. With the added bonus of feeling like you're ten feet tall when wearing it holstered.

How to choose a single favorite...Tough one..

I have strung up a Raven Arms P25 and shot it with a Detonics .45 ..So I guess it was fun to shoot..Crappy little thing didn't stand a chance..

Well alot of these guys have some really nice guns. If your on a budget like I am I went with an XD9 (highly recommended over the 45 due to the grip size...You'd have to be a giant for that huge grip to be comfortable) and my personal favorite the 6 inch full lug gp100. I think the GP is every bit as good as the smiths I've shot and it cost me about 3/4 the price. Of course I have slicked it up quite a bit after the initial break in and that helped alot.

Personally I love my Colt "Python", but the .357 Magnum (revolvers: no bias included to other manufactures) are my favorite, I may not always want to shoot .357 mag. so I will switch to .38 Spl. from time to time.

CZ-75B and S&W M&P9. I'd go through 1000 rounds with that CZ in one day if I could afford it.

Revolve - My 6 inch Python built in the early 70's with custom trigger job

Semi-Auto - My EAA Witness in .40 S&W (rebranded Tafoglio TZ-75 CZ-75 clone made in Italy) with tuned up by Teddy Jacobson (He told me he preffered reworking the TZ clones over the real CZ due to better metal)

Depnds on the mood....

Fun Gun? Ruger MKII .22 auto

HD/SD gun? 1911A1

"Cowboy Up" time? .357 Vaquero or the Single-Six

My fav semi auto to shoot is my OLD High Standard Military Victor 22. I've won a lot of small bore shoots with it!

My fav revolver is a toss up between my S&W M-29 or my M-19, both with medium power loads.
