Just picked this one up today. I'd been wanting a Sig 556 rifle ever since they came out, but [as it wisely turned out] waited till now to get one. Glad I waited, I paid $1525 instead of the roughly $2200 they were going for 5 or 6 months ago. I plan on taking it out to the range tomorrow and getting it zeroed.

I've also got these:

The M1A was my first rifle and I love that thing to death. The ammo is just so bloody expensive, I can barely afford to shoot it. The Rock River Arms LAR-15 in 22LR is the fun gun and was my first evil black rifle, complete with bayonet lug :evil:. I've got some 25 round mags for it and mostly use it for CQB drills and shooting at man size targets out to 100 yards. I can afford to shoot off 200 rounds or more of 22LR and not worry about how much I'm spending. The M1 Garand was manufactured in June of 1944 according to it's serial #. I've fired maybe 30 rounds with it, but it's just a collector piece really. At over a dollar a round I can't afford to shoot it anyways.

So, I'm not really sure what's my favorite. I love the M1A, I love the M1 Garand (if for no other reason then that it's a piece of history and it might have very well shot a German, Jap, Korean, or Chinese dude), I love the LAR-15 22LR for good cheap fun, and I'm sure I'll love the Sig 556. All I know so far is it breaks down easy and I like the stock, rail, and irons. Plus it's a Sig and I have yet to hear anything bad about anything they make.

My favorite is a Remington 700 VS in .25-06 that I have owned for 30 years now. The rifle is on it's second barrel now which is a Krieger match.

I've used this rifle to hunt groundhogs in OH, it's gone bear hunting in Canada and deer hunting in FL. I would no longer use it for bear as I own a Rem 700 Classic in .300 H&H Mag. Unfortunately no photos.

Well as for me I got to say I love my winchester Mod 94. 30-30 it just seems to be a classic riffle, geat for hunting in the thicker woods it seems to be the one I always go back to even though I am a lefty and i have been hit in the forhead by the hot cartage have had to lern to reload with the gun lower. but I love that old gun not to mention I did get it from my father.

this is not mine, but mine looks just like this;

a remmy 788 in 243. a total 1 hole punch and a barn burner, nice 22 inch bbl on it, and unbelievably accurate, with the fastest factory locktime trigger, every put on a factory rifle.
When I first got it, I had won it on an auction, and had no intentions of keeping it; plus I had never even had a 243. And it was kinda ugly, and the wood was off color, and dinged up pretty bad, and the metal was not all that gooda condition. But after some steaming, and rubbing, and a little blueing, and cleaning and lubing and oiling, and some sanding and restaining, I just can't let her go now, too pretty...

Browning made, Winchester Model 1895. Love them both, the .30-06 and the .30-40 Krag. IMO, one of the most beautiful rifles ever made.

My FN49, 7.92X57 (8MM mauser) Egyptian contract rifle, I have put 4 out of 5, rapid fire shots into a tumbling bowling pin at about 20 yards.

Note to self, Shoulder does not like this very much.
