What I need to know is barrel length/manufacturer, handguard, mags? I'm totally copying it.

For both target shooting and plinking, I use the following:
1) S&W Model 41 in 22 LR with 7.5" and 5" barrels.
2) S&W 629 Classic .44 mag with 6.5 inch barrel.
Great fun!

Glock 17L for me, with adj. night sights and polished internals. I really like that one at the range! My wife and most other folks prefer my no lock 686+ 6".
Plan on getting an integrally suppressed MkIII soon... When we get that, I suspect it will be the favorite by a long shot.
Not a pistol, but the 10/22 ends up at the range quite often... It is probably the universal favorite of everyone I shoot with, including me. I could sit and shoot it all day long if could get away with it.
