I get a shipping notification from the CMP with a tracking number yesterday, so all morning I expect delivery to my business. I finally checked the Fedex tracking system this afternoon and it shows it was delivered at 10:45AM to a name I didn't recognize. :banghead:

Called Fedex support and told them my package had been misdelivered, and they got real excited when I told them it was a firearm.

They finally tracked it down to my LGS, and the driver retrieved it and delivered it to me. He said it got mixed in their shipments.

For a minute there I thought the Garand I had waited months on was long gone, and there was going to be hell to pay by somebody...

Not the first time it has happened. I bet they did get excited when you told them it was a firearm

FedEx brought me a nice new semiauto shotgun one day. It should have gone to an FFL in an adjoining state with the same name as mine. OOOPS!!!

Wow. How did that happen? Had to be more than just the same name.

IAC, I recently ordered a Garand, so I'll be watching the tracking notices closely when it ships!

At least in my area, everyone at FedEx who handles the CMP packages know what is in those long boxes.

The driver probably just gathered up the "gun" related stuff for the dealer not thinking about looking at the shipping label.

Probably too much small talk between the gun store and the driver.

Still a major oops on the driver.

I wonder why the gun store had not called FedEx.

gifs or it didn't happen

So, where are the pictures of your new rifle? You don't need to get all the cosmoline off before you post them.

They actually put me on hold while they contacted the driver to see what happened to it. I figured it would be an all day run around but they located it within 3 or 4 minutes and had it to me within an hour.

Instead of telling them it was merely a "firearm" I should have told them it was a "high capacity, high velocity, weapon of war assault rifle that has possibly already killed several people". That would have really gotten their attention.

I've got one more coming and then I'll post some pics. Hopefully the second one will get to the correct address this time.
