Feedback on Svörd or Okapi folders?

I wonder if anyone has any personal experience that they would like to share with the Svörd knives from New Zealand?

Svörd Peasant Knives

I am also interested in the South African (originally German) Okapi knives which also seem like great, simple, cheap, everyday carry knives. Any first-hand comments on those would also be welcome.

Okapi Pocket Knives

Both are available in the USA from Ragweed Forge.

For the more imaginative among us, please note that I am more interested in their utility as everyday pocket knives than as a weapon to defend myself against a horde of zombies.

The Svords were good enough that we had a group buy on them.

I have one of each. Both have carbon steel blades and take a razor edge. The Okapi (mine is second from the top in the Ragweed photo) has the half-open stop and a fairly strong back spring. I would be comfortable carrying it as an EDC knife, although I favor multiple blades and currently carry a Buck Stockman. The Svord is an interesting knife, a bit large for pocket carry. As you probably know, the Svord has no back spring. It opens with the "lever" at the base of the blade and is held open by your grip while using it. I would not carry the Svord except in a sheath or pouch because it can easily come open with unpleasant results when you reach for it. I like simple working man's knives. A couple others you might consider are the Opinal and the Douk Douk.

Just by the way, Ragweed Forge offers great service, quick shipping, competitive prices. You might check out the EKA Swede 88, a lockback folder with Scandi grind. Currently available only in oak and a bit more money than the Svord or Okapi. I bought one for myself and one for my wife. Stainless blade, but in my mind a more useful knife than either the Svord or Okakpi.
