Freedomwanted,

I don't agree. On violent vs non-violent criminals. If a man has paid his debt he should be restored the recognizance of his rights. You bring up a good example. You have what sounds like a reasonably responsible businessman now. Is it right that he should be denied the ability to properly defend himself and his family?

I recognize this man is the exception to the rule. But exceptions should be made for this type of guy who straightens himself out. Especially because we can see right now the current system isn't working. It's asinine to throw a guy in jail for N number of years, where he learns to become a better criminal. Then we let him out? Yeah, now that's crazy.

Frankly I was about to write a diatribe on what's wrong with our legal system, but I have restrained myself. Honestly I don't think there is any more that can be said, and I believe the argument over our justice system, aside from the restoration of a citizen's rights which include 2nd amendment right, I believe that discussion should be taken to APS.

Speaking defending your self. This man was renting a shop which he was to also buyand the landlord sold it out from under him. He was moving out when the landlord an 4 others kicked the h--- out of him. This is a big man but rather than get in trouble he let these men put him in the hospital. His bill is over 20000.00 but this is what happens when a person does not the power to protect himself. He did not want to go to jail for protecting his self. He has a bussiness to run and a family to provide for. He tryed to prosecute but the law will not do that because one of the men is related to a judge in the county. This happen in the state of missouri. The Mo. law says that 5 years after you get off probation you get your rights back but big brother thinks different. How doyou live by 2 different laws. Catch 22 if you ask me. Now this man had to pay a lawyer 5000.00 to sue the people that did this to him. Because the procuter would not do he's job. This man inpresses me an i would do about anything for him.
