I get mine transfered for free. I live in Phx, Az and I have a local FFL that does them for me. I have been in Iraq for the last 5 months and have had my Benelli and my 1911 sent to him and got them given to me for FREE . He does this for me because of the the military and because I have a CCW.

I don't mind paying $40 (every shop here in Reno charges 40), after all it's not like I'm giving that to the Government or anything, it's going to a local gun shop owner. Almost makes me feel good...
