Field strip Springfield GI model

I like to think that I am a reasonably smart fellow. I may need to reconsider that thought. I recently acquired a Springfield GI model 1911. When reading the instructions on field stripping I am lost. Is there a site somewhere with pics to help this AARP-eligible owner?
