A couple a weeks ago I traded my HK USP for a Colt M1991A1 Officers and a FEG Hi Power model PJK-9HP. The FEG Hi Power had some sweet upgrades like a Cylinder & Slide SS no bite hammer and sear, as well as XS big dot night sights on front and back. This little FEG had sweet blueing and a trigger to match, really nice especially for not being a true Browning.
When I tried the Hi Power out it had extractor problems right away, and my gunsmith being the awesome guy he is, he stood behind it and fixed it with a Browning SS extractor at my request.
Upon receiving it back and trying it again, it now had hammer follow problems. He again agreed to fix it, but was leaving to go deer hunting as it is that time in Oregon now.
Not wanting to wait I did a little of my own research, and found out it could either be the hammer spring, sear spring, or the trigger return spring. Not being very expensive, I ordered all of them from Midway with great service and received them today. I went ahead and gave the hammer spring a shot with the 28 pound spring. The trigger return spring seemed fine and the sear spring is on back order till next week so I said ''what the hell''.
Low and behold that was the problem. Me being impatient like I am, I had to try it and ran out to the spot on the farm I normally shoot to run a quick 50 rounds.
It did it!!! I am extremely pleased with the pistol as well as me being able to handle it without my beloved smithy. The trigger pull is a sweet 4.5 pounds and breaks clean, and I also learned a lot about the inards of this fine pistol.
Here is a few pics!!

Looks like a great find! I have a FEG P9M, a little later version of the PJK-9HP with the modified slide stop and S&W style barrel lug arrangement. It is a sweet-shooting gun, is absolutely reliable, and carries well. Dollar for dollar, it is the best handgun I 've ever owned! Enjoy your FEG, they are fine guns. They are also quite under-rated, which is a boon for guys like you and I!
