Got this about 5 weeks ago. Was waffling between the SIG and the GSG. Same gun, I know. Liked the looks of the GSG better ( markings ), and it's a few bucks cheaper. But the SIG warranty is better. Then came across this one at a gun show used, and that 'used' price tipped the scales.

Anyway, like most, just wanted this so I could shoot a 1911 for cheap. Had three different brands of ammo to test through it ( Federal 550 value pack 36gr copper plated hollow points, Winchester Xpert 22 36 gr hollow point & Remington 40 gr Thunderbolt ).

Pistol is definately NOT a tack driver. The single magazine holds 10 rounds, so I shot 10 shot groups. Target set at 15 yards. The best group was with the Remington Thunderbolt, and was about 1.5 inches ( I was using a rest ). Part of the problem may have been me. Windage is adjustable. But elevation is adjusted by swapping out the front sight ( guns come with 3 front sights ). After 5 weeks, I had forgotten this, and did not bring the extra front sights. So there was a good deal of guessing at elevation.

I shot 50 rounds of each type of ammo ( 150 total ). I had no FTE. But had 5 FTF. Four with the Winchester & 1 with the Federal. These were all the same. The round that didn't feed was NOT stripped from the magazine. When I racked the slide, the rounds all went in nicely & fired.

The magazine feels well made, and is easy to load. However, the rounds look sloppy in the magazine. Some almost appear like they want to start a double stack.

After feeling I'd pretty much seen the accuracy limits, I took to just fun rapid fire at targets 30 yards out. This was a good time. Was able to stay on target for water bottle sized targets.

Takedown and cleaning is easy. But I'd prefer I didn't have to use the allen wrench ( go to youtube for those that don't know what I'm talking about here ). It kind of spoils the 1911 experience.

I'm a bit troubled by those rounds that failed to be stripped from the magazine. But overall, I think I like this gun. I spent a good bit more time at the range than I usually do, because I didn't go through a days pay worth of ammo in 30 minutes. More like the cost of a gallon of gas.

I also picked up a Ruger Charger at that same gun show. SWEET gun.
