I bought several thousand Fiocchi spp's last year, and just got into them this month, and they seem like they're very slightly larger in diameter than WSP or CCI. I say that because I've had several hang-ups in the primer tube on my RL550 with them. Haven't noticed any significant difficulty seating them in mixed 38 spl cases.

Anyone had any issues with them?

Slight burr/rough spot..

Maj., what you probably have is a slight rough spot inside of your primer tubes. This can happen in the pick up, or magazine tube of your 550.

This condition is amplified with the import type primers=some seem larger, or have sharp edges that seem to catch.

Call Dillon ASAP, and tell them the problem and I'm sure that they will send replacements. They do NOT want ANY injuries that may occur in the process of clearing stuck primers from the tubes.

I have "Polished" the insides of my primer tubes with a shoestring with some valve grind compound on it.:eek:

Don't laugh--It works in a pinch..HA HA...Bill.;)

PS: Remove all plastic from tubes before you polish+clean with Brake Kleen (And the OTHER shoestring..HA HA..) after polish..

That's a good idea BillyBob - will have to try that. I had hang-ups in the press feed tube and the pickup tubes, which I haven't had before, but slicking them up can't hurt. Maybe polish with some mica, too...

I know their shotgun primers are metric which makes them ever so slightly larger than US 209s so the stretch the pocket a tad. That said, they work flawlessly

Yep, metrics are a bit bigger. Billybob44, interesting idea! I've had primers stick in the tubes before and Dillon says to clean them out with a Q-tip and alchohol...

Yep, just use that shoestring like a SMALL Bore Snake..HA HA..Bill.
