Simple Yes or No Polls add little or nothing to the pool of knowledge

A real "scientific" poll would include preliminary questions:
- testing knowledge of existing handgun laws,
- whether the person owned a handgun (or not),
- why they owned a handgun (or not),
- had they ever used a handgun in self-defense,
- had they ever been victim of a handgun crime.

I predict that should a real scientific poll be conducted,
the more the respondent knows about existing handgun laws,
the less likely they will be to support more handgun laws.
