Uh, no. Not the same data. But good data none the less. Don't confuse the ATF data with Firearms industry data. Some is crossover but most is not.

Looks like the same manufacturing data to me, edited heavily and summarized. I looked at the 2010 ATF report and added the numbers for a few of the major manufacturers and it looks the exactly same. I nearly forgot to add in the export numbers for pistols, revolvers, rifles and shotguns to get a true total.

The NICS numbers are interesting in terms of trying to estimate how many used guns were transferred.

Very interesting data. I had never seen those import figures broken down before. It really underscores how enormous US arms making would be but for the legal restrictions of foreign nations.

The ATF data only covers U.S. manufactured firearms. So companies like Glock which import almost all of their product aren't counted.

exactly and the ATF doesn't break it down in details we or at least I would like to see.

It would never occur to me to look at info on Glocks. <shrug>
