Firefly is still a good show. The CGI blows away most others out there. They must have saved the $ on having no sound effects in the vacuum of space. In one of the TV episodes Jayne fires his "assault" rifle in space, but he cautions the captain that it won't fire without oxygen. So they bundle it up in an expendible space suit and fire through the face mask.

The Serenity (movie) DVD is out December 20th... you can still get it for Christmas if you're crafty. ;-)

It was 4 shows tonight and 4 tomorrow (wed) night. Starts at 6PM central time both nights. I just ordered the DVD set with all 14 episodes (3 were never aired) and will probably get the Serenity movie also when it hits DVD. Amazon has the Firefly first season for $27 which is just enough to qualify for free shipping. Good show!

Turn your channel over to SciFi tonight regardless of whether you intend to watch it or not. I think marketing research is at the level where they can tell if how many people are watching a channel. If SciFi sees that a lot of people watch Firefly, then they might prevail upon Joss Whedon to produce some more shows.

Borachon, they can have their hairstyle back, seeing as how it is all falling out anyway! You know, I have never watched an episode of Firefly, but I did go see the movie, and I actually sort of liked it.... I am off to go play World of Warcraft now!

I watched most of them last night. I really love that show. It's really well written and funny, and the characters are unique. I think what I like best is that, unlike everything else you see, you can't predict what's going to happen or be said next.
