Does Star firearms still service pistols?
I have a Firestar 9mm and the hammer is following the slide back into battery after almost every shot. The pistol has less than 1k rounds through it and I want to get it fixed.
I did take it to 2 diff "pistolsmiths" in the DFW area. Without even opening it up they said someone tried to do a trigger job and botched it. On one occasion I was accused of trying to do a trigger job and botching it! Boy did that rub me the wrong way!
I don't do pistol work and I'm looking for someone in the DFW area that does do good work on firestars. I do love this little 9nn and I wish I had a Firestar in .45 to match it.
So anyway. Does the Star firearms company do work on firestars? I heard they went broke years ago and this Star company now is not really related to the same one that made the Firestar.
